Set up sigora on your website.

Install the Area Map once, generate Area Reports from your console, and manage your account. About ten minutes, not a job you repeat per listing.

Get set up first.

  • Start your free trial. Enter your website address as it appears in your browser, for example https://www.youragency.co.uk. That's where the Area Map is allowed to run, with or without www.
  • Confirm your email. We send you a sign-in link, so there's no password to set.
  • Find your site key in your console, on the Area Map page. You'll paste it in the next part.

A couple of minutes, and you'll have everything the install needs.

Already have a site key? Go straight to the install. Testing on a copy of your site first? If it's on your own domain, such as test.youragency.co.uk, add it under Allowed websites in your console. Each account covers one website, so a copy on a different domain won't work.

How is your site built?

Pick one and you'll see just the steps for your site. You only do this once, not for each listing.

WordPress + Property Hive: Install our plugin
Every property page, automatically. No code.
WordPress, no Property Hive: Snippet in your template
Your web person adds it to your listing template once.
Squarespace · Wix · Webflow: Snippet in a code block
Paste it into a code or embed block on your listing.
Hand-coded or anything else: One block of code
Paste it wherever your listing page is built.

WordPress + Property Hive: Install the plugin

  • In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New, search for sigora, then Install Now and Activate. If your site can't install from the plugin directory, download the plugin (a .zip) and use Upload Plugin instead.
  • In the WordPress left-hand menu, open sigora. Paste your site key, choose Standard or Tall height, leave automatic placement on, and Save. Then click Test connection: it should say Ready.
  • That's it. Every listing shows its own area, with nothing to do per listing. Which lenses appear, plus layout and colours, are set in your console.

Not showing on your property pages? Some sites use their own design for property pages. Add [sigora_widget] to the property page template where it should appear; it picks up each property's location, postcode and reference by itself, and switch automatic placement off. Then tick Custom property template on the plugin's sigora page so your listings are still counted.

Want new plugin versions to install themselves? Click Keep sigora up to date automatically on the plugin's sigora page. You can turn it off there at any time.

WordPress, no Property Hive: Wire the snippet into your listing template

  • In your console, copy the install snippet, or use Send to your web developer to send it on.
  • Your developer pastes it into the theme's single-listing template and points it at your listings' fields: data-postcode always, plus data-lat and data-lng if your listings have coordinates.
  • Done. Every listing shows its own area, and any listing you add later works automatically.

Give the Area Map each listing's postcode and, ideally, its coordinates. The postcode is a must: it powers the Connectivity lens. Without coordinates the pin sits at the centre of the postcode rather than on the house, and Connectivity shows postcode-level broadband availability, not a property speed prediction. Predicted Mbps appears only when a premises is matched. Replace the {{ … }} placeholders with your CMS or CRM feed's fields; most property CRMs expose both.

Squarespace · Wix · Webflow: Paste it into a code block

  • Copy the install snippet from your console.
  • On your listing page, or your listing template if your builder has one, add a Code / Embed block and paste the snippet in.
  • Fill in the listing's postcode, plus its coordinates if you have them. If your builder repeats one template across listings, wire it to those fields once.

Hand-coded or anything else: One block of code in the listing page

  • Paste the snippet wherever your site builds a listing page.
  • Fill in the listing's postcode and reference, plus its coordinates if your data has them.
  • Locked-down platform or a strict security policy that blocks scripts? Use the iframe instead: the same Area Map, the same settings. It takes ?postcode= and &listing_id= in the URL, plus &lat= and &lng= if you have them.

Every attribute, for your web developer.

data-site-key (required)
Your key, shown in your console.
data-postcode
The listing's full postcode. Include it even when you also give coordinates; it powers the Connectivity lens.
data-lat / data-lng
The listing's coordinates, as a pair, for the exact position on the map.
data-listing-id (optional)
Your own reference for the listing, so views can be attributed to it.
data-height (optional)
Two designed heights: 520px (fits any sidebar) and 640px. Leave it out and phones get 640px, wider pages 520px.
data-mode="area" (optional)
With data-place-slug, for a page about one neighbourhood rather than a property.
Lenses, colours, layout
Set in your console, not as attributes, so one change applies to every listing. data-show can narrow the lenses on a single install.

The Area Map doesn't appear.

  • It runs on the website address you signed up with, with or without www, and on any address on the same domain added under Allowed websites. One account covers one website.
  • Check data-site-key matches your console exactly: the whole key, no extra spaces.
  • Confirm data-postcode holds a real postcode, or that data-lat and data-lng are plain numbers supplied as a pair.
  • Connectivity tab missing? The postcode isn't reaching the Area Map. Put it in data-postcode, even when you also give coordinates.
  • If your site sets a Content-Security-Policy, allow the sigora script and embed addresses (shown in your console) under script-src and frame-src. The iframe option only needs frame-src.
  • Missing only on your machine? Some ad blockers hide third-party frames. Try a private window with extensions off first.

The Crime lens is missing on some listings? If you've turned on “Only show Crime where it is better than the national average” in your console, the lens only appears where it passes that test. That's the setting doing its job, not a fault.

A report for any address, in seconds.

  • Open Area Reports in your console.
  • Type the address and confirm the pin on the map. Every figure in the report is measured from that pin.
  • Generate. The PDF is ready in seconds: download it, email it, print it.

Any address, not just your listings: a valuation, a buyer weighing up an area, a window display. Nothing to install, so you can use Area Reports from day one of the trial.

Your name on the cover.

Set your agency name, logo and accent colour once, under Branding in your console. Every report carries them on the cover and in the page headers; sigora sits in the footer as the source. The same settings colour the Area Map on your website.

1,000 a month on every paid plan.

The trial includes 15. Re-downloading a report you've already generated is always free and never counts. The allowance resets on the first of each month, and your console shows how many you've used.

Site key and allowed websites.

One account covers one website. The Area Map runs on the address you signed up with, with or without www, and on any address on the same domain you add under Allowed websites: a test or staging copy, for example. To move to a different website, disconnect the current one on Plan & billing, then set up the new one.

Plans and billing.

  • Plans are sized by active listings: published property pages with the Area Map on them, whether or not anyone visits. Your current number is in your console.
  • Move up any time; moving down takes effect at renewal. Annual plans are ten months for twelve.
  • The trial is 30 days with no card. We email you before it ends; do nothing and it simply stops, with your setup saved.
  • Cancel any time from your console. No notice period; everything switches off at the end of the period.

See every plan.

No visitor tracking, by design.

The Area Map sets no cookies, loads no analytics scripts and stores nothing that could identify a visitor. The counts in your console are tied to your listings, never to the person viewing them, so your cookie banner stays exactly as it is. Our partner data processing agreement puts this in writing, so you can point to it when a client or adviser asks.

Stuck? Support is included.

Email [email protected] with your website address and what you're seeing. First reply within one business day, usually the same day. Accessibility problem? Same address: the Area Map and the console are built to WCAG 2.1 AA.

Install questions, answered.

How do I add the Area Map to a Property Hive website?

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New, search for sigora, then Install Now and Activate. Open sigora in the left-hand menu, paste your site key, leave automatic placement on and save. Click Test connection: it should say Ready, and every property page then shows its own area.

How do I add it to WordPress without Property Hive?

Copy the install snippet from your console and have your web developer paste it once into your theme's single-listing template, pointed at each listing's postcode and, ideally, its coordinates.

Can I use it on Squarespace, Wix or Webflow?

Yes. Add a Code or Embed block to your listing page or template, paste the snippet in, and fill in the listing's postcode, plus its coordinates if you have them.

Is there an iframe version?

Yes. On a locked-down platform or with a strict security policy, use the iframe: the same Area Map with the same settings. It only needs frame-src in a Content-Security-Policy.

Why doesn't the Area Map appear on my listing?

Check that the website address matches the one you signed up with, that data-site-key matches your console exactly, and that data-postcode holds a real postcode or data-lat and data-lng are a pair of plain numbers.

Why does the install code say widget?

The Area Map used to be called the sigora widget. The install code keeps that name, data-sigora-widget and [sigora_widget], so every existing install keeps working unchanged.

Ten minutes to install. Then every listing.
